CLUB NEWS

Student Council
The club meets every other Thursday at 2:30 p.m. in the freshman cafe. There will be Prom
planning. Prom sales will be Mar. 12-15 after school.

Chess Club

Open to any students interested in playing competive chess. Practice is every Tuesday and Thursday in the media center from
2:20-4 p.m. The IHSA state tournament
is occuring Feb. 8 and 9.

BioExplorations Club
This club involves hiking, camping and anything outdoors! It is year round every other Tuesday in room 2503 after school.

Asian American Culture Club

The AACC seeks to promote and educate
students about Asian culture. Everyone is
welcome. Meetings will be the second and fourth Monday of every month in
room 1103 at 2 p.m.

Key Club
Key Club will be hosting a series of events such as packing food for “Feed My Starving Children” and making Easter baskets for the food pantry at the end of the year.

Art Club
Everyone is welcome to join the Art Club in which many different mediums of art will be explored. Meetings will be every other Thurday for the entire year in room 1105 after school, until 3:15 p.m.

Orchesis
The school’s only co-ed dance group is open to freshman through seniors who want to preform many different styles of dance. If interested, email Ms. Taylor at [email protected]. Practices are Tuesdays 2:30-4p.m.

Bel Canto
Bel Canto is an all treble voiced pop ensemble. There will be a winter choir concert on Feb. 26 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium.

National Honors Society
There will be a meeting for general members on Feb. 5 in the main cafeteria.

Gay-Straight Alliance
The next meeting will be taking place in room 1614 every Tuesday right after school.

National Art Honors Society
NAHS is looking for ways to contribute artistically to the school and the community.The meetings will take place after school every Thursday in room 1202.

Scholastic Bowl
For anyone interested in joining scholastic bowl, come out and support the scholastic bowl team at the IHSA Regionals on March 4. Location and time will be released accordingly.

Math Team
Anyone who enjoys competition, challenges, and math should consider Math Team.The team practices weekly on Mondays after school in room 302.

Wildcats’ Care Club
Wildcat Care Club will be selling red
cartions in the main cafeteria until Feb. 12.

French Club
Anyone interested in French language and culture should seek this club. Meetings will be hosted in room 1322 after school.

Armed Forces Club
The Armed Forces club will be hosting a meeting on Feb. 19 at 2:20 p.m.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes
All students are welcome. Students are not
required to be in a sport. The next meeting will be Feb. 12 in room 1511 from 6:30-8 p.m.

Wildcat Ambassador Club
To all students: Come to any home game even if you are coming by yourself because the game crew is a group of students who are there to make you feel welcome! Dates will be released accordingly on
announcements.

Speech Team
Students interested in speaking on specific
topics going on in the world should think about Speech Team. Meetings will happen every
day after school in room 2308.

ASL Club
All are welcome to join and learn sign language. The next meeting will be announced on the morning announcements.

Everyone is welcome to join the drama club. Stay tuned for auditions for the spring musical.

Bass Fishing Club
All students interested are welcome to join, casting practice will be every Tuesday after school 2:30-3:15 p.m. in the main gym.
