The girls bowling team is rolling into another promising season, fueled by hard work, team chemistry, and a drive to
compete among the state’s best. After placing 10th at last year’s state tournament, the Wildcats are determined to continue to reach their goals.
“Our team goal this season is to make it to state again and bowl well throughout the whole season,” Payton Henderson, senior, said.
Coach Connie Roberts said the team has shown impressive development since the start of the season.
“This team has grown by gaining experience from last year’s state tournament,” Roberts said, “These girls now understand the hard work that is needed to compete at the higher level.”
The Wildcat’s strength lies in their teamwork and shared goal. During tough matches or slumps, the team leans on each
other for motivation.
“During challenging times in competition, we focus on the fact we are a team,” Roberts said, “One person may be struggling, but we are five Wildcats working towards one goal.”
Among the returning bowlers are seniors Madeline Barnes and Payton Henderson, junior Faith Koz, and sophomore All Conference bowler Addison McGrath. The experienced roster gives the team an edge as they aim to stay among the top 10 in state.
“Since we had so much success last year, I’m really excited to see what we can accomplish
this year,” McGrath said.
Team chemistry remains one of the Wildcats greatest assets, both on and off the lanes. Sophomore bowler Natalia Harkness said the supportive environment helps everyone grow.
“The team’s energy and chemistry was so amazing,” Harkness said, “Everyone got along so well and we enjoyed every
moment in practices and in games.”
As the Wildcats prepare for upcoming tournaments, their focus remains steady, working hard, lifting each other up and having fun doing what they love. With their determination and spirit, the Wildcats girls bowling team continues to prove that success isn’t just about the score, it’s about the bond that keeps them rolling strong.
